sketch #35

after 15 weeks, i tried to do another LO and since i am not a freestyle scrapper, i headed to 52 weeks and checked out the sketch for the week.

here it is...

and here's my take on the sketch.

i've been wanting to scrap this photo of Inigo and this sketch is the perfect LO to follow. i tweaked it a little by not putting the 4 small pieces of paper behind the photo. i believe the MM frame is enough to emphasize the photo.

i like it! =) plus my son adores my work so that's what matters most.

{journalling reads: on your 4th birthday we went to DIsneyland & you enjoyed your birthday so much! 080209}

diaper cake

the SoCal Kulasas gave a batchmate a baby shower last Saturday. lunch was at this indian restaurant called Delhi Palace. i am not a  big fan of indian cuisine but having tasted their buttered chicken would definitely mean another trip to this resto soon.

anyhoo, Meg didn't want anymore baby stuff coz she said she has a lot of hand-me-downs from her SILs. so we decided to give her a diaper cake since she would definitely use diapers until the baby is potty trained.

so, here's the finished product. Bryna helped me putting this diaper cake together. i wouldn't have done it by myself.

Making A Splash

a LO i made last week using 52 weeks sketch #10. i have been wanting to scrap these photos of Igi being thrown p by his Dad and sketch #10 is perfect. i also submitted it to the site's gallery and i'm glad to be receiving nice comments.

i had an old My Mind's Eye set of papers which i got last 2005 (i think) when i was just starting to scrap. i totally forgot about it and just saw it when i started reorganizing my stash.

the journalling goes: You kept asking Dad to throw you up and when he finally did, you didn't get scared. You actually begged him to do it to you again and again...

i {heart} you

here's another LO i made during Dell's absence. the picture was taken November 2007 and i only got to scrap it now. lately, i've been using 52 sketches on all my LOs as i find them simple and easy to follow. thank goodness for sketches - i just realized that i'm not a free style scrapper. i have 2 more LOs to post but i think it still lacks some embellishments so i'll work on it first and post it soon.

in the meantime here's the LO i'm talking about. i just don't know what's wrong with my camera setting that all the photos i took were too bright.

love...always & forever

i finished it...just in time for his birthday, departure and valentine's day. no, he wouldn't bring this with him when he goes home to the Philippines.

it's nothing grand - just an album made with L-O-V-E =) how cheesy huh? i couldn't and wouldn't even dare list down all the materials i used or i'll go crazy. all i know is everything came from my stash that i've hoarded all these years and some new finds while shopping.

enjoy viewing and violent reactions are not welcome! j/k

happy valentine's!!!

what i found at the $ Tree store

on my way to the nail salon to have my nails done, i decided to pass by the $ Tree store to kill time since i still have a good 20 mins before my 2pm appointment. and while looking around, i saw some stuff that i never bought in a regular retail store because of the price.

the pop-up giftwrap tape dispenser and tape strips by Scotch and bought 5 packs of the strips.

Fiskar scissors (and bought 2 of the No. 7 and 1 for kids since Igi loves to cut papers)

stamp pads (in blue, gree and purple) by Miss Elizabeth and 2 sets of glitter glue; all guaranteed ACID-FREE.

and 3 tubes glue stick by Avery

i love $ Tree because they sell stuff that you see in regular retail stores so whenever i go here, i never leave empty-handed. how could you resist not buying when you can only get it for $1 vs the regular price of $4.99, right?
